Baby #6 Is Almost Here!

by PC Xavi-Nena on January 26, 2012

Kinda been M.I.A. for a  long time. A lot has gone down since my last post but I will only update on what is important. Based on the title of the post it is no mystery that OPPS WE DID IT AGAIN! This lil guy is a true blessing and surprise because 6 kids was NEVER in the greater scheme of things but yet here he is. While I will briefly admit it took me a moment to get used to the idea that I would have to be a baby cooking host once more once it sunk in I am very pleased to say how exciting I find it all again. His original due date is Feb 15, 2012 but likely will be here anytime now as of posting this. His name will be Izaac Martin Gb. I know in the image it reads Izac but that was before we had made up our minds about the spelling of it. Izaac because it follows the theme of the rest of our children’s strong powerful biblical names and Martin after my Grandpa Tato who took the place of my biological father [his son] in my life. What better way to honor him then to give our last final surprise blessing son his middle name.

And here I go just around New Years of course not taking a front and center pic of my fat and growing ass but a basic silhouette pic. It would have come out better if it were our tree with the massive amount of Christmas lighting we typically use however this brings me to my next update.

We have officially moved in with family. My mother to be exact because we decided it was time for us to take the next step and move into a house we own. The last home we were in the process of leasing to own was not working out and we outgrew it years ago around the time The Zion was expected. So instead of continuing on with that headache we decided to not sign any more contracts and bite the bullet. It was only supposed to take 2 months or so max…little did we know that almost 6 months later now and we are still here. That in itself is deserving of a multiple part blog post which I will go into another time but in short we finally found a house and are officially in the process of closing. Expected closing date is Feb. 17th, 2012.

Well one other update, we finally paid off our Dodge Grand Caravan! Woo hoo, a 20k loan paid in full several months prior to the pay off date. Whoa that was a HUGE accomplishment for us in rebuilding our credit and getting on track where we need to be. Well that was slightly short lived because no sooner did we pay it off in full then 2 months later Michael was in an accident [not at fault thank God] and the other driver’s insurance company deemed our loyal little van a TOTAL LOSS!  :( We sat around for almost 2 weeks to hear back from them and then another several weeks to get the news on what they valued our 20k paid off loan at. It was a stressful time because many of you know when buying a house you are not supposed to add anything else to your credit profile or take out any new lines of credit. Our thoughts were how exactly are we to run a business w/out reliable transportation, and how do we get reliable transportation w/out taking out a loan for a new or newer 8 passenger vehicle!? It was more than just a stressful time for us but finally we decided to give it to God and worry about less vs. more and tackle one thing at a time. Like being pregnant, or dealing with living with family, or the other 5 kids we have, or businesses, or dogs….pick one. So we decided that it be best to let this one go and trust in God that he will provide the best possible outcome. We had to believe that everything happened for a reason.

Insert the blessing in disguise! While it was very disturbing and unsettling to go through the loss of our FINALLY PAID OFF van we knew we were going to be in the market for a new 8 passenger transportation device soon after closing on our home and we knew that was going to lead to another loan to be taken out. Well when the new year hit things finally started to fall into place. While still stressful things now seem like they are all aligning and working in our favor.

Oh wait what is this pic of? Well that would be our blessing in disguise new used Chevy Suburban. One owner, extremely well taken care of with low miles for being a Suburban, still has over 200k miles of life left in it! It will comfortably fit all 8 of us and our dogs! THANK GOD FOR SMALL FAVORS! We could not be happier with the truck and the timing of it all and being able to buy a beyond reliable fantastically awesome cash car! That is right, NO PAYMENTS! NO LOANS! NO INSANELY HIGH INSURANCE RATE! CASH BOUGHT AND PAID FOR!

Well I will end this long ass quick update post right here and in closing just say it has been one hell of a season for us but I am proud to say we have come through it still standing and can only continue to pray for the best and trust in God that all things happen for a reason. It may not be what we want at the time or even remotely ask for but in the end we must embrace it knowing that there is a reason for it and the outcome will very likely be even better then the one we were asking for.
